I believe the total number of runners/walkers reached close to 40,000 which is crazy! In the past, the runs I’ve been involved with have a few thousand so this was a bit too many for me. It was downtown by Grant Park and the course was enjoyable because we ran on some of the bridges and the south end of Michigan Ave. Downtown – final stretch was the hill going towards the Shedd Aquarium. I believe my time would have been faster if not for that hill!

Overall the run was fun. Jessica and I weren’t able to start together which was a bummer because she was in Corral G and I was in Corral J. However, we met up at the end for hot chocolate and snacks.

I’m happy about my final time, as I didn’t do much prep for this race since my last run in June. Total time was 29:01. Here are the results from my previous runs:

Race to Wrigley: 31:16       United Run Through Zoo: 28:44

After the race I went to brunch with a few girlfriends and then met up with Jon to watch the Packer Game. Must have been my lucky day because I ended up winning the raffle for a Jordy Nelson Packer Jersey. It’s a mens size 52(for chest) so Jon now has a new Jersey!
